After three hours of competition, eleven young musicians won a total of $2,700 at the Music Showcase held at Flemington United Methodist Church on Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017.

The Gospel of St. Luke relates the story of the risen Christ appearing to two who were going along the road from Jerusalem to Emmaus. Two friends were walking together, sharing their hearts’ deepest concerns. The risen Christ joined them and explained the scriptures as they walked, how it was ordained that Christ should suffer and so enter his glory.

We are proud to announce that the Flemington UMC Dart Team has taken first place for the 2016-2017 Hunterdon County Church Dartball League season. We are holding a Marriage Enrichment Workshop at the church on February 24-25. The Marriage Enrichment program was developed over 40 years ago by Dr. Carl T. Clarke, Ph.D. It offers a safe haven where trained leaders will guide a couple through group exercises using proven techniques that focus on the positives that already exist in your marriage. Our church is hosting a Music Showcase for elementary, middle, and high school students on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at 3:00 PM. The purpose of the Music Showcase is to provide incentive and recognition to talented, motivated students who will perform their piece of music in a public formal setting. Flemington United Methodist Church, in cooperation with the Hunterdon County Council for Young Children is hosting “Fun Zone,” a wintertime play group for children aged 2 through 10 each Saturday from January 14 through March 18.
Get the kids out of the house and come in from the cold for some FREE play time, right on Main Street in historic Flemington! Reconnect with friends, make new friends, and break the winter boredom.
The play center is located in the church’s Fellowship Hall. The entrance is located on Maple Avenue, across the street from Flemington Public Library. The Fun Zone is not a drop off center, parents are asked to stay and relax nearby to watch, or get in on the fun!
